Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design engineer to perform technical presales activities for Automation solutions like gantry automation, robotic automation. As a presales engineer, you will be responsible to interact with customers for initial automation project inputs, conceptualizing a automation solution, preparing a layout drawing capturing the all salient requirements of the solution, preparing the rough estimation for quotation considering all the elements of the project/solution requirement, discussing with Design & supply chain department for more accurate inputs for estimation, discussing with Sales lead and finalising the automation project concept & layout with required drawings & sketches, estimation & the quotation to be sent to customer. Pre sales engineer will collaborating closely with cross-functional departments such as Mechanical design, Electrical, Controls, Purchase, and Assembly teams to understand the lessons learnt in previously executed projects in conceptualizing & offering a good technical automation solution with competitive pricing. Post acquiring the purchase order from customer, pre sales engineer along with sales lead will be responsible to arrange a kick of meeting with all the stake holders of the project, seamlessly transfer all the project inputs for the execution team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Any Professional certifications are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design/ presales activity of industrial automation projects in particular gantry automation, robotic automation projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, cost estimation.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Expertise in mechanical design for industrial automation applications, including robotics, conveyors, actuators, and custom automation equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
